Norwegian for the mundane, the daily. German for my inner, emotional life. English for ideas, the intellectual.
At least it was that way until my late 30s when I had not lived in Germany for a few years, and [[../www-old/My Father Died]], who was the only person I spoke German with.
This sense of varying languages for different areas of my internal life has made me believe there is, in fact, something to the [[sapir worf hypothesis]], no matter how discredited the theory might be.
